FourQ employees are finance, accounting and tax experts who have worked for many of the world's largest companies. Why does this matter? Because, they've been exposed to and helped solve some of the most complicated intercompany challenges. Working in global operations, finance, accounting, and global tax at companies such as GE, Merck, Deutsche Bank, Telsa, Siemens, and Genpact as well as Deloitte and EY, FourQ employees well understand multi-nationals' international footprint, compliance risks, tax exposure, invoice workflows, and performance metrics.
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Varun is FourQ’s CEO and leads the company’s overall strategy and its operations. Prior to co-founding FourQ, he was CFO of Global Operations for GE where he began his career and worked for seventeen years taking on ever increasing responsibilities. As the finance leader for the global shared services function, he managed a $1.5 billion cost footprint for more than 8,000 employees across 12 global regions. Varun has deep experience in driving ongoing rigor to achieve commercial, financial, and operational goals.
He holds a BA in Commerce and Economics from Delhi University and an MBA from Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD.
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Kivanc Pakel is FourQ’s co-founder and Chief Operating Officer and overseas product strategy, tax and compliance IP and customer success. Prior to joining FourQ, he was Executive Finance Leader for Global Operations at General Electric where he managed the intercompany billing and cost allocations team and multi-billion dollar liquidation and cost sharing models across the company. Prior to this role, he was the CFO of East Europe for GE Power & Water based in Istanbul, Turkey. Before joining GE, Kivanc spent a decade in various finance roles at global container shipping lines and terminals.
Kivanc holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey. He has also completed GE’s Executive Leadership Program (EFLP) and executive education courses for Corporate Performance at Harvard Business School.
Co-founder and Executive Chairman
Andrew Siegel is Executive Chairman, co-founder and a member of FourQ’s board of directors. He is the chief investment officer of multi-strategy investment firm TLI Bedrock LLC, a FourQ investor. Previously Andrew was Executive Vice President of Advance Publications where he was responsible for strategy, investments and acquisitions at one of the world’s largest and most valuable privately held firms. He joined Advance from Yahoo! in Silicon Valley where he headed corporate development. Andrew worked in various executive capacities at General Electric from 2004-2009. He began his career as a corporate transactions lawyer at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York.
Andrew holds an M.A. from the Jewish Theological Seminary, a J.D. from the New York University School of Law and a B.A. from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
Chief Revenue Officer
Steve is FourQ’s CRO responsible for putting in place and scaling the company’s go-to-market strategy. He has worked for the last 20 years as a Chief Revenue Officer servicing the shared services market, mostly focused on Source to Pay processes. During this time, he has been instrumental in taking three companies from start up through growth to market leadership.
Steve joined FourQ from Tungsten Network where he served as CRO. Previously he established sales for Tivoli systems in Europe, growing the organization to $500m revenue helping lead to a successful IPO and acquisition by IBM. He has held additional leadership positions at Sharedserviceslink, OB10, Works.com and Compuware.
Steve was educated at the University of Westminster. Before embarking on his sales career, Steve was a professional squash player.
Chief Product Officer
Prasad Tungaturthy is FourQ’s Chief Product Officer and oversees the design and development of all FourQ products along with custom solution designs for our customers. Prasad spent 11 years at Oracle, having joined from Hyperion, where he built a deep understanding of the challenges facing the office of finance and expertise in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI). Prior to joining FourQ, Prasad gained his startup experience at New York City based Pypestream and Colorado based Datavail. At Pypestream he designed AI based customer experience solutions as VP of Engineering, and at Datavail he helped transition the company into a cloud-based solution.
Prasad has a MS in Systems Engineering from Louisiana Tech and holds two U.S. software patents.
Chief Transformation Officer
May is FourQ’s Chief Transformation Officer where she helps customers transform their finance and accounting functions using FourQ’s purpose-built solutions. In this role, she brings her expertise and leadership in organizational change to improve the operational efficiencies of these organizations. In addition, May oversees FourQ’s Global Partnership Program. May joined FourQ from Deloitte where she led numerous finance transformation projects. Previously May has held various roles in finance and accounting at Merck KGaA, Smith & Nephew, State Street, and NEC Telecommunications. Through these roles, she developed a deep knowledge in management consulting and financial accounting processes.
May earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Renmin University in China and continued her education in the US. She holds an MBA from Babson College and an Executive Education Certification from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Customer Success Officer
Jeremy is responsible for defining, managing, and measuring success throughout the customer journey at FourQ. Before joining the company, he was co-owner and Vice President of Finance at Adirondack Cabling and Security where he ran cabling functions and focused on growing the organization’s profitability. Previously he worked as a Senior Advisor and Lead Analyst at the Boston Consulting Group and EY (Ernst & Young). Jeremy started his career in accounting at GE.
Additionally, he is a CPA in New York and Georgia and holds a B.S. in Business Economics and another in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the State University of New York at Oneonta. He also has an M.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration from Suffolk University.
Dirk Van Unnik
Vice President, Tax Development
Dirk van Unnik is FourQ’s vice president of Tax Development where he is responsible for all tax-related design and development of FourQ’s software solutions and supporting FourQ customers. Before joining FourQ, he was the EMEA Tax Director at Tesla. Previously, he worked at General Electric holding a variety of tax roles over 16 years, including as EMEA Business Tax Director and in Transfer Pricing and Shared Services roles. Prior to GE, he was VP of Tax at United Pan-European Communications (now Liberty Global) and Tax Director at Boehringer Mannheim (now Roche). Dirk started his career as an international tax consultant at Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC). He has also been a Central Bank-accredited executive board member of the General Electric Netherlands Pension Fund since 2008.
Dirk holds an MA of Business Economics, as well as an LLM of Business Law, both from Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2019, he completed his Executive Pension Professional education at Nyenrode Business University.
Vice President, Finance
Anita is FourQ’s Vice President of Finance who is tasked with solving finance puzzles and identifying how to strategically maximize financial and operating performance. Prior to joining FourQ, Anita served as Europe FP&A Manager for GE where she covered planning cycles, quarterly closing and estimates working closely with regional and business leaders to identify and drive opportunities for growth and managing costs. Previously she was part of GE’s prestigious leadership development program, Corporate Audit Staff, where she led financial, digital and operational audits and advisory projects. Anita started his career in accounting at GE where she worked for more than a decade.
Anita holds a Master’s degree in English Philology from University of Szeged.
Managing Director of Engineering
Matthew Schwartz is the Managing Director of Engineering for FourQ where he oversees all application development, data security, systems administration and IT. Matt’s primary responsibility is delivering the cloud platform at the core of FourQ’s services. Prior to joining the company, he was Director of Development at ASG Technologies where he was responsible for key components of their enterprise content management product. Previously he was Platform Architect and Development Manager at Aventri, a SaaS event management company. Matt started his career at MasterCard and has also served in other software engineering roles in multiple industries.
Matt holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Pace University in New York.
Global Human Resources Leader
Melissa Tu is FourQ’s Global HR Leader where she is responsible for the strategy and execution of the employee life cycle. Prior to joining FourQ, she was an HR Manager at GE where she proactively supported all aspects of strategic and tactical HR initiatives for several functions. Previous she worked as an HR Business Partner at CenturyLink and Amazon.
Melissa holds a B.A in Management from Lourdes College in Sylvania, OH. She has an MBA from the University of Findlay.
